The Hong Kong Railway Museum is located on Chongde Street in Tai Po Market, rebuilt from the old Tai Po Market Railway Station, and features a distinctive golden-roofed traditional Chinese architectural style. Inside, the museum displays railway-related images, equipment, and train models; outside, it preserves a section of old railway tracks, antique arm signal machines, and vintage locomotives and carriages. Additionally, the museum showcases narrow-gauge steam locomotives, diesel-electric locomotives numbered 51, and carriages. The museum is open all year round from Monday, Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00-18:00. Accessibility services include wheelchair-accessible restrooms.
