The Hong Kong Science Museum is located adjacent to the Hong Kong Museum of History and features approximately 500 exhibits spread across 17 exhibition areas, covering a wide range of topics. Seventy percent of the exhibits are interactive, making it an ideal destination for families with children to explore and experience the impact of technology on society. Among the exhibits, the 22-meter tall Energy Bouncer stands out, situated right in the center of the museum’s exhibition hall, spanning across four floors.

This Energy Bouncer primarily demonstrates the transformation of energy and motion, with spheres traversing between two tall towers like a roller coaster, creating a series of pleasing sounds and visual effects, and it is one of the larger exhibits of its kind worldwide. Other recommended exhibits include the Electromagnetism Gallery on the first floor, which through a series of setups, allows visitors to understand how batteries, light bulbs, and electric motors work.

On the second floor, there is a DC-3 aircraft, a passenger plane from Hong Kong. The third floor houses the ‘Children’s World’ and the ‘Energy Efficiency Center’. In the ‘Children’s World’, children can press the ‘Circle Cloud’ machine button to see air squeezed from a box forming a cloud, which is extremely interesting. Operating hours are Monday-Wednesday, Friday: 10:00-19:00; Saturday-Sunday: 10:00-21:00.

Service facilities include accessible restrooms, accessible parking, accessible entrances, and accessible restrooms.
