The Hong Kong Stadium is commonly known as ‘Po Tau’ by locals. Formerly known as the Government Stadium, it was reconstructed and put into use in March 1994. It can accommodate up to 40,000 people. If additional seats are added on the site, the number of seats can reach 58,000. It is currently a very large outdoor multi-purpose sports venue. Open all year round and all day.
