The Hongya Cave Reunion 1980 Block is located on the fifth floor of Hongya Cave, themed around ‘Old City, Stories, Chongqing, Reunion’. It revolves around the local atmosphere and old alleyway scene culture of Chongqing, authentically recreating the diverse urban life of the 1980s and 1990s. The movie-quality set design allows visitors to ‘travel back in time to the 1980s and 1990s’ in an instant. Vintage scenes such as the No. 5 tram, the Mountain City Wide Screen Cinema, the Ba Ba Tea House, and the Disco Square are recreated, along with interactive experiences like non-heritage craftsmen, era dance troupes, arcade games, and internet celebrity performances.
The Mountain City Wide Screen Cinema within the block also features a holographic MR interactive music show called ‘In Search of Teresa Teng’, enabling viewers to watch Teresa Teng ‘personally’ perform her classic songs in 3D without glasses. The block is open all year round from 11:00 to 00:00.
