Hu Juxia, known as Yongkang’s ‘Little Jiuzhaigou’, is located in Yongkang City, Zhejiang Province. Upon entering Hu Juxia (formerly known as Jiujian Gorge), one finds a complete scenic system with over 60 natural attractions, including peaks, cliffs, waterfalls, flowers, and green pools, which rivals the more famous scenic areas outside.
Within the scenic area, the gorge’s steep and rugged mountains stretch for several kilometers, adorned with variously shaped boulders weighing tens to hundreds of tons, with exceptionally rich rock textures resembling tiger skin, crocodile skin, and petrified wood. Particularly striking are the circular stone pits about 30 centimeters in diameter on the riverbed rocks, resembling tiger and horse hoof prints, covering over a thousand square meters, which are quite rare.
Hu Juxia will be developed into a comprehensive tourism service area based on local resources, with stream management, ecological restoration as the foundation, and landscape construction, outdoor leisure experience sports, tourism services, and leisure vacation as the main content. It will become an ideal leisure and vacation destination for Yongkang citizens and tourists from surrounding counties and cities.
