Hu Mountain Park, originally known as Xiao Penglai, is located north of the Queen Mother Temple. It is renowned for its deep valleys and serene beauty. In 1956, the construction of Hu Mountain Reservoir led to the formation of a tranquil lake at the foot of the mountains.
By 1960, a Double-beam Stele Pavilion was established on the west side of the lake.
On the east side of the lake stands the Hu Mountain, which earned its name after Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty once hunted tigers here.
The park is open to visitors all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
