Hu Spring is located approximately 1 kilometer south of Hongfan Pool in Pingyin County, Jinan, and to the north of Yuncui Mountain. It is named after its proximity to the ancient capital site of the Hu Kingdom. The spring water originates from a deep cave in the lower part of the rocky wall. During the flood season, water gushes out from the cave, hitting the rocks and creating splashing waves that can be heard for miles. After cascading down a stone dam, it forms a spectacular waterfall. On the rock wall, there is an inscription of the phrase ‘Hu Spring Boils Green’, written by Meng Yimai, a scholar of the Ming Dynasty.
