The Hua Art Museum is an art museum with design as its theme. It was officially established on September 1, 2008 in OCT, Shenzhen. It is adjacent to He Xiangning Art Museum and three major cultural tourism scenic spots: ‘Splendid China’, ‘China Folk Culture Village’, and ‘Window of the World’. The Hua Art Museum focuses on promoting design as its main development direction, covering various design fields such as graphic design, space design, product design, fashion design, digital, video, animation, etc. At the same time, it also pays attention to contemporary art and various diverse art activities, actively exploring and reflecting the relationship between design and contemporary art. It is committed to promoting the development of the field of design in China by planning and holding special exhibitions, holding public lectures, organizing academic forums and domestic and international exchange and learning activities, and carrying out design education. It introduces domestic and foreign avant-garde design concepts, discovers and showcases novel design trends, and discovers and cultivates art and design talents. It provides the public with a rich and diverse window to design and art culture. The main building of the Hua Art Museum is transformed from an old warehouse. The glass curtain wall composed of overlapping hexagonal steel structures constructs an independent surface outside the old building, retaining the history and significance of the past building under the avant-garde architectural appearance. The building area of the Hua Art Museum is more than 3,000 square meters. Among them, the temperature-controlled exhibition hall area is 2,000 square meters. At the same time, it has a temperature-controlled painting depot, with a professional environment and conditions for art exhibition and collection. Opening hours: closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 10:00 to 17:30 from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year.
