The Pangu King Mountain is said to be transformed by Pangu King. The Pangu King Temple, also known as the Pangu Sacred Altar, is a famous tourist and climbing destination in Guangdong. The story of Pangu King creating the world is widely spread among the people. Famous scenic spots include: Mid-level Pavilion, Longkou Spring, Stone Terrace, ‘Pangu Misty Haze’, etc. The Pangu Emperor Temple built here in the 14th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1809) is located at the foot of Pangu Emperor Mountain.


The existing sacred altar was rebuilt in the 27th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1901) and is one of the famous cultural and artistic historical sites in Guangdong. The incense in the Pangu Temple is flourishing, and people who come to burn incense are in an endless stream. The Pangu’s birthday on August 20th of the lunar calendar and the Double Ninth Festival on September 9th of the lunar calendar are the livelier days on Pangu Emperor Mountain.
