The memorial hall is adjacent to the quiet and simple Huang Daopo’s tomb. The building area of the memorial hall is about 300 square meters. Stepping into the courtyard, you can see the statue of Huang Daopo standing as high as 2.2 meters. On the doorposts are written couplets that read ‘With two hands, she weaves clouds of garments; with one shuttle, she traverses the universe.’ The horizontal inscription is ‘Clothing the world.’ The memorial hall has three exhibition halls. The main exhibition hall displays Huang Daopo’s life story and her historical contributions to China’s textile industry. The other two exhibition halls display textile tools and cotton textiles from different periods. In the textile tool exhibition hall, there are various types of cotton fluffing machines, spinning machines, and weaving machines, totaling more than 30 pieces. In the cotton textile exhibition hall, there are more than 300 items such as various colored cotton homespun cloth, blue printed cloth, cotton clothing and trousers, aprons, bellybands, bed sheets, and quilt covers. Many of them are treasures preserved from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
