Huangcuo Beach is located on the southeast coast. It is 4.2 km long, running in the NE-SW direction. It is 4.6 km east of Xiaojinmen and 4 km south of Dadanshan and Xiaodanshan.
It is adjacent to several major tourist attractions in Xiamen. The beautiful round-island road, like a ribbon, connects the beach entrance. The world-famous international marathon event is held here every year. It is close to important scenic spots such as Yefengzhai, Gulangyu Island, the International Convention and Exhibition Center, Guanyin Mountain, Wuyuan Bay, Hulishan Fort, Xiamen University, Nanputuo Temple, and Wanshi Botanical Garden. It is a relatively quiet beach.
