Huangpu River Yacht Cruise

The Huangpu River cruise is one of the famous tourist attractions in Shanghai, renowned for its unique Chinese-style design and the beautiful views of the Huangpu River it offers. The ‘Dragon Boat’ Huangpu River cruise, officially named ‘Pujiang Cruise No.1 (Dragon Boat)’, is located at 500 Dongdaming Road, Shanghai International Cruise City, Binjiang Greenbelt, Hongkou District, Shanghai. This is a super large luxury cruise ship that was re-built and put into operation in 2010, measuring 57 meters in length and 17 meters in width, with a total of four decks. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd decks are cabin areas, equipped with audio equipment, projectors, central air conditioning, meeting rooms, and VIP rooms, among other facilities. The 4th deck is a sun deck for visitors to enjoy the scenery along the banks of the Huangpu River.

The design concept of the cruise ship combines tradition with modernity, using the golden auspicious dragon as the foundation for the design. The dragon, soaring out of the water, leads the cruise ship to forge ahead bravely. The ship’s body encloses four layers, with dragon scales made of thin copper plates, shining brightly in the sun and adorned with colorful lights at night, making it vivid and lifelike. The upper buildings on the deck not only feature traditional Chinese pavilions and towers but also include structures such as beacon towers and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.

The entire ship’s decoration adopts a Chinese-style design concept, with vermilion columns, carved railings, wooden lattice doors and windows, and large wood carvings like ‘Dragon Soaring Over the Four Seas’, as well as dozens of other types of wood carvings, infusing the cruise ship with a strong cultural atmosphere and fully promoting the essence of traditional Chinese culture.
