The Huangpu Theater is located at the intersection of Beijing East Road and Guizhou Road. It is an old theater with a history of more than 70 years. The Huangpu Theater was originally named Jincheng Grand Theater and opened on February 1, 1934. Entering the gate, the feeling of an old cinema is still in place. The surrounding escalators on both sides, the candlestick-shaped chandelier in the middle and the stained glass windows are very elegant.

The history of Huangpu is displayed on the surrounding walls. The old-fashioned film title list is still used in the ticket office. The movie showtimes and prices for the day are written on a small blackboard with white paint. This old cinema, which mainly showed domestic films before liberation, is famous for its educational significance. It is the premiere location of ‘Children of Troubled Times’ on May 24, 1935.

The theme song ‘March of the Volunteers’ echoed in the cinema for the first time. The opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round. The above is the exhibition hall time. The performance time depends on the performance. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on the day.
