The Taiping Cableway, also known as the ‘Huangshan Second Cableway’, is located with its upper station at the Songlin Peak to the right of the Paiyun Pavilion in the West Sea Scenic Area, and its lower station at the Songgu Temple in the Songgu Scenic Area. The entire cableway is 3709 meters long with a vertical drop of 1014.5 meters, equipped with six support towers, the largest spanning 1513.6 meters. The cableway operates on a double-haul single-tension two-track reciprocating system, with a carriage capacity of 100+1 people, a speed of 10 meters per second, and a one-way travel time of 8 minutes, capable of transporting 600 people per hour in one direction. Riding the Taiping Cableway, visitors can enjoy distant views of the Guangming Peak and the Jiulong Peak, with the ability to embrace the clouds and mist above and explore the fields and plains below, offering a unique experience to their Huangshan journey.
