The Huangyan Grand Waterfall Scenic Area is a rare natural waterfall cluster in southern Zhejiang. Comprising four waterfalls, all are of the suspended type. The scenic area combines the history and culture of the female water deity with the waterfall scenery, narrating the timeless topic of water and women. It consists of ten sections: Huangyan Yangshui, Bamboo Forest Listening to the Spring, Nine Xi Longyin, Luoshen Zhuoxiu, Shy Girl’s Petition, Xiaoxiang Flying Waterfall, Su Nu Lun Jing, Tian Fei Yuhua, Green Valley Qingxi, and Green Guest Canxiu.
Within the Huangyan Grand Waterfall Scenic Area, the Enkeng Waterfall has a total drop of about 130 meters, with a width of around 30 meters. During low rainfall, the waterfall forms two levels; during high rainfall, it rushes down directly, forming a high-level waterfall with a majestic momentum. Below the waterfall, there is a Dragon Pool, approximately 5-6 meters deep, with a surface area of 80 square meters. Another high-altitude waterfall, from a turn in the mountain stream, cascades down with a drop of about 25 meters, forming a high-level waterfall with abundant flow during the rainy season and a grand sound. Below this waterfall, there is a pool with an average depth of 7-8 meters, covering an area of 70 square meters. There are also two other waterfalls with slightly less water volume than the first two, with a drop of about 30 meters, forming a high-level waterfall with a width of about 2 meters, cascading down. Below these waterfalls, there is a pool with an area of more than 100 square meters. The water from the waterfalls converges upstream and flows down the mountain, continuously eroding rocks until it reaches a small stream in the village and irrigation ditches in the fields, watering the farmland. The entire mountain forest is filled with the sound of water, full of vitality. Moreover, each waterfall is surrounded by mountains, set against bamboo forests and broadleaf forests, offering a very beautiful scenery, truly a place of clear mountains and clean waters. The entire scenic area is open from January 1st to December 31st, from 08:00 to 16:30, with ticketing ending at 15:00.
