Huangyangjian Mountain is located in Lincheng Street, Dinghai District, Zhoushan. It is the highest peak on Zhoushan Island, with an altitude of 503.6 meters. Standing on the top and looking into the distance, you can have a panoramic view of the Zhoushan Archipelago. With beautiful natural scenery, it is an excellent place for climbing and enjoying the scenery of thousands of islands.
There are many cultural landscapes and historical relics in the Huangyangjian scenic area. In the Three Kingdoms period, Ge Xuan collected herbs and made elixirs here, gradually becoming a famous Taoist mountain. There are now scenic spots such as Ge Xuan’s elixir-making cave. Huangyangjian is also the site of Xucheng in the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Sun En uprising in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and the Yuan Chao uprising and garrison site in the Tang Dynasty. The mountain is strategically located and is also a revolutionary base for the East China Sea Guerrilla Corps to engage in the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War.
