Huating Temple

Located in Huating Forest Park. In front of the temple, there is a Nianhua Room and a Futu Altar. The gate of the mountain is adorned with a plaque inscribed with ‘Lotus Pure Land’. The upper level of the Arhat Building houses five hundred Arhats. The east and west corridors serve as guest rooms. Between the Mahavira Hall and the Arhat Building, there is a Rainbow Bridge over water, with carved railings and jade-like structures, surrounded by lush green grass. The main hall, spanning five bays, is spacious and magnificent, with statues of Sakyamuni, Mahakasyapa, and Ananda in the center, flanked by twenty heavenly kings and eighteen Arhats. Behind Sakyamuni, there are statues of Guanyin and Vajrapani. On the back side, there are statues of the Master of Wisdom, the Medicine Buddha, Bodhidharma, Dingguang, Maitreya, and Jialan. In the winter of 1929, Huating Temple suffered a fire. Two years later, Guangci took over as the abbot and began to rebuild the temple, which gradually took shape. In recent years, an 18-meter-high Thousand Buddha Hall has been constructed. The opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
