Huayan Mountain is located in the northwest of Toutuo Town, on the western outskirts of Huangyan. Its main attractions are the three waterfalls and the rift valleys. The scenic area boasts numerous waterfalls, some gently cascading like beaded curtains, others rushing like silver dragons. There are waterfalls that twist and fly, as well as those that pour straight down. The waterfalls are divided into upper, middle, and lower sections, with the Feiyan Waterfall being particularly spectacular. Below each of the three waterfalls, there are usually beautiful pools, behind which lie water curtain caves. The ingenious combination of waterfalls, pools, and caves forms a unique feature of Huayan Mountain’s scenic area. Visitors can enjoy the waterfalls, play in the pools, and stay in the caves, each offering a different delight.
In addition to the waterfalls, the scenic area also features a group of rift valleys formed by crustal movements millions of years ago. Within the 2-square-kilometer hillside of Huayan Mountain, there are about 30 large and small rift valleys. These rift valleys crisscross each other, with some covered by soil on the surface, while the underlying cliffs are fractured. However, most of the rift valleys are exposed to the sky, with sheer and straight cliff walls on both sides. The paths through the rift valleys are winding and complex, and the entire group of rift valleys is divided into upper, middle, and lower sets, each composed of several rift valleys of varying depths and twists. The lengths of the rift valleys range from tens of meters to four or five meters. The valley walls are covered with vines, and entering the rift valleys feels like entering a maze. Feiying Road is located on the Shantun Peak behind the Shantun Village in Toutuo Town, Taizhou, Huangyan. The road between Feiying Road is currently under construction. Feiying Road is also a stone corridor within the hundreds of meters high cliffs of Shantun Peak. There are two parallel stone corridors at the waist of Shantun Peak, which are naturally formed by nature, but also show signs of artificial modification. The Feiying Road stone corridor walkway is parallel, with upper and lower levels, each stretching for hundreds of meters. The upper and lower levels of the Feiying Road stone corridor are connected by bamboo ladders. Feiying Road traverses the cliffs of Shantun Peak, and when tourists look up from below, the stone corridor seems unattainably high. When tourists look down from the stone corridor, they see an abyss below, which makes them shudder with fear. What makes tourists marvel and praise even more is that there is a waterfall in the middle of the Feiying Road that flies down from the sky. The eagle road crosses the sky, and the hanging waterfall forms an interesting contrast, creating a beautiful, dangerous, and spectacular scene. The scenic area is open all year round from 8:00 to 17:00.Huayan Mountain Scenic Area
