Huayan Tower

The Huayan Tower was first built in 977, the second year of Taiping Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty. The tower houses precious cultural relics such as volumes of the Avatamsaka Sutra. Mr. Zheng Zhenduo praised it as ‘its value is as high as that of the discoveries in Dunhuang.’. The original tower was unfortunately demolished in the mid-1950s. The current tower was rebuilt in 2009. It forms a beautiful scenic line in Longquan urban area together with Chongren Temple, Oujiang Pier No. 1, Liuchazhou and other scenic spots. Opening hours: Open from 8:30 to 17:00 all year round.
