Hui Ma Spring

Hui Ma Spring is located in the southern part of the Wulongtan Park. The pool is bordered by stone slabs, and its water surface is connected to the ‘Jingchi’ pool. In the middle of the pool, there is a curved bridge and corridor with seating railings, allowing visitors to lean on the railing to watch fish and appreciate the spring. On the southern stone wall, there is a stone carving of ‘Hui Ma Spring’. It is said that there was a mansion of the Tang Dynasty general Qin Qiong built inside Wulongtan. One day, when Qin Qiong was walking his horse here, the horse leaped into the air, and a spring eye appeared where the horse’s hoof landed, hence the name Hui Ma Spring. The terrain of Hui Ma Spring is relatively low, with a strong water surge. There are dozens of spring eyes in the pool, bubbling up intermittently, some in clusters of dozens, some in pairs, large as round dates, small as beans, floating and swaying to the surface, bursting open one after another, forming circles of fine ripples. The water at the bottom of the pool is clear to the bottom, with fine sand and gravel surging out from the spring eyes, and countless small fish swimming around the sand and gravel, which is very pleasing to the eye. The opening time is all year round, open all day.
