Hui Guang Temple is located at the back of Bayue Mountain, with its majestic and towering appearance, lush and verdant, making it a treasured Buddhist temple in Eastern Sichuan. The main hall houses the three giant Buddha statues of Guanyin, Manjushri, and Samantabhadra, collectively known as the ‘Three Ages Buddha’. These statues have a long history, are entirely gilded, and remain unscathed.

The existing main hall, eastern and western wings, and the rear Guanyin Hall are all stone and wooden structures built during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. Despite enduring the vicissitudes of time, they are still well-preserved. The architectural ridges feature lifelike dragon tails, a unique feature.

Notably, the temple still retains several rare ancient trees: two tall ginkgo trees in front of the temple and an ancient Arhat pine behind the main hall on the right, all serving as tangible evidence of Hui Guang Temple’s long history, holding significant scientific research and viewing value.
