Huxi Rock is located on the southwest side of Wanshi Rock. The stone gully about three meters wide on the top of the rock is the “Huxi”. There is the ancient Donglin Temple among the rocks. It was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and was renovated in 1984. The temple is built along the mountain, deep, secluded and precipitous. Further ahead from the Tiger Crossing Bridge, tourists can admire the huge rock inscribed with the two characters “Three Smiles”. Huxi Rock is an excellent place to enjoy the full moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival, so it is called “The Night Moon at Huxi”, and this scene is one of the “Eight Scenes of Xiamen”.
Opening hours: It is open from 8:00 to 17:00 throughout the year.
