The Incense Pilgrimage Ancient Path was the route taken by pilgrims who disembarked at Maojia Port by boat in ancient times and then went to various temples in Tianzhu to offer incense. Now it is a section of road from Yanggong Causeway to Maojia Port. Due to the project of expanding westward of the West Lake, the Incense Pilgrimage Ancient Path has been awakened from history and restored, becoming a cultural corridor for seeking seclusion, visiting ancient sites, and experiencing folk customs. The Wolong Bridge and Yinxiu Bridge on Yanggong Causeway are approximately several tens of meters apart. In between is the entrance to the Incense Pilgrimage Ancient Path. The Incense Pilgrimage Ancient Path is not as straight, transparent, or monotonous as Su Causeway. Strolling along the Incense Pilgrimage Ancient Path, the scenery changes with every step. There are plank roads at times, stone paths at times, arch bridges at times, dirt paths at times, and pebble avenues separated by water in the middle. One can only walk without looking at the scenery or look at the scenery without walking. When strolling along the Incense Pilgrimage Ancient Path, one must not make loud noises. There are various migratory birds in the new waters of the West Lake. Suddenly, wild birds may fly up not far away. There are not many tourists around. It is very secluded. Only the chirping of birds can be heard. One is completely immersed in the scenery of the lake and mountains embracing seclusion. Open all year round, open 24 hours a day.
