Qingzhou Ancient City was initially built during the Northern Wei Dynasty and served as the seat of the prefectural government from the Jin, Yuan, Ming to the Qing dynasties.
It was first a earthen city, and the brick city was built in the third year of Hongwu. The city wall is 12 meters high, 6 meters thick, 6.5 kilometers long (13 Chinese li and 108 steps), with a total of 1,777 crenels. There are four city gates: Haiyan, Daizong, Fucai, and Zhanchen. The of Fucai Gate is located at Madaokou on the east side of Qingzhou Ancient City.


Opening hours: It is open from 08:00 to 17:30 throughout the year.
