Zhao Zhenjun Temple is located in Gulou District, Fuzhou. It is a famous Taoist temple dedicated to historical sages. It used to consist of multiple parts such as the mountain gate, the stage, the patio, the restaurant, and the bell and drum towers.
There are three characters ‘Tongxianjing’ engraved on the stele in front of the temple. It was the old name of Jinxiang Lane in the Song Dynasty. Because the character ‘Jing’ is homophonic with ‘Jin’ in the local dialect, it was later renamed Jinxiang Lane.
