Ji Yu Square was built in June 2003. It is the main activity place for sacrificing at Dayu Mausoleum. The square takes Tai Chi Platform as the center. Connecting Jiuding Platform and water altar forms a longitudinal axis, facing Dayu Mausoleum from afar. On both sides are distributed viewing stands, drum pavilions, bell pavilions, totem poles and other sacrificial facilities. There is a pool in the east of the square called ‘Yu Pool’, which is used for sacrificing people to ‘release living creatures’. At the entrance of the pool channel, there is ‘Gaocheng Bridge’, which is connected with Dayu Mausoleum Park. Open all day all year round.
