Jian Shan Golf Club is located in Jianshan New District, Haining City, Zhejiang Province, situated by the Qiantang River and at the foot of Jianshan, 80 kilometers east of Shanghai and 60 kilometers west of Hangzhou. It is currently a 36-hole international championship golf course in Zhejiang Province. The club features two distinctive 18-hole, 72-stroke international standard golf courses, named “Dragon Course” and “Phoenix Course”. They are designed by American golf course designer Neil Haworth and Australian designer Phil Ryan, respectively. The course design fully embodies the traditional concepts and essence of golf, maintaining the sport’s natural, harmonious, and elegant style while ingeniously integrating Chinese rural characteristics, making the refined and profound personality permeate every corner of the course. The course is naturally exquisite, with each fairway having its unique charm, designed according to the new standards of the PGA in the United States. The fairway design is not only rational and clever but also adds difficulty, offering a real challenge and fun for golfers. “Wind” is also a significant feature of the course; playing in the wind at Jian Shan allows you to release your mind and appreciate the ambiance of “towering Jian Shan beside you, and a gentle breeze in your ears”. Neil Haworth designed the Dragon Course with 18 holes, totaling 7600 yards, which is a record in the East China region. The fairway design is majestic, undulating, with well-arranged bunkers, especially the last 9 holes, which are surrounded by 400 acres of clear lake water, backed by Jianshan. The grandeur is so vast that it can only be understood by those who have experienced it, making it the top choice for golfers to challenge themselves. Phil Ryan designed the Phoenix Course with 18 holes, totaling 7172 yards, with a design style that is gentle, elegant, grand, and delicately beautiful, complementing the “Dragon Course” and filling the entire course with a sense of classical nobility and royal aura. The course is open all year round from 06:00 to 20:00, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening conditions.
