Jiande Museum is located by the beautiful Xin’an River. The museum has two floors.
The first floor mainly consists of ‘Jiande’s Natural Environment and Resources Exhibition’ and ‘Jiande’s Historical and Cultural Exhibition’. Here, one can trace back to the Silurian period 400 million years ago.
The second floor is ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage’ and ‘Shou Chongde Exhibition Hall’. It focuses on displaying local characteristic intangible cultural heritage items such as fishermen’s wedding customs and She ethnic minority folk songs.
Opening hours: Closed all day on Mondays throughout the year; Open from 09:00 to 16:30 from Tuesdays to Sundays throughout the year. Closed on Mondays (except legal holidays).
