Jiangjia Karst Caves Scenic Area is located within Banan District, 70 kilometers away from the central area of Chongqing City. The scenic area is known as the ‘Underground Art Gallery’ with clusters of caves. The caves that are open to the public include Wulu Cave and Longchi Cave.
Wulu Cave, stretching over 800 meters, features seven scenic areas with more than 100 attractions, such as the Reception Hall, Fairy Encounter Cave, Spectacle Hall, Thousand Milkstone Corridor, Thousand Hill Field, Fairy Mountain and Pearl Pavilion, and the Concert Hall. The 20-meter long and 5-meter wide cave shield, the miniature Great Wall-like Thousand Hill Field, the 5-centimeter long curled stone, and the perennial mist entwined at the cave entrance are known as the Four Wonders of Wulu Cave. Longchi Cave, spanning 2500 meters, is divided into nine scenic areas. Within the Longchi Cave scenic area, there are also the former sites of the Diyuan Poetry Society and the ancient temple sites of Wantian Palace and Yuwang Palace. Outside Longchi Cave, there are three-tiered waterfalls, with spring water that is warm in winter and cool in summer, suitable for bathing all year round. On the mountain ridge, there are seven ancient fortresses from the Ming and Qing dynasties, with lush greenery inside and precipitous cliffs outside, making it an excellent spot for watching sunrises and sea of clouds.
