Upon entering the Wuling Gate, not far to the right stands the Jiang’s Ancestral Hall. It is the traditional venue for the Jiang family in Xikou to conduct clan activities, including ancestor worship, celebrations, weddings, and funerals. This place honors the ancestral tablets of the Jiang family since their ancestor, Jiang Shijie, settled in Xikou at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, encapsulating over 600 years of family history.

The ancestral hall is a combination of a new and an old hall, covering a total area of 3000 square meters with a construction area of 1800 square meters. The new hall, built in 1930, is located at the front and the eastern wing of the new hall displays historical materials about Jiang’s Ancestral Hall. The old hall, located at the rear, was renovated during the 55th year of the Kangxi Emperor’s reign in the Qing Dynasty. It features a stage connected to the central gate, with a double-eave hip roof and a spiral ceiling. The funerals of Jiang Jieshi and his principal wife, Mao Fumei, were also held here.

Opening hours: 08:00-17:30 from May 1st to September 30th; 08:00-17:00 from October 1st to April 30th.
