Jiangxi Helicopter Science and Technology Museum covers an area of 10,000 square meters and is located in the factory area of Beijing General Aviation Jiangxi Helicopter Company in Jingdezhen High-tech Zone. It has more than 30 helicopters (pieces), including real helicopters, models and parts. The museum adopts a highly advanced audio-visual playback mode, allowing tourists to understand the development history and performance parameters of helicopters and experience helicopter and engine assembly, flight driving, etc. through virtual reality means. It has outstanding playability and learnability.
The museum contains five branch museums, namely Ocean Museum, Starry Sky Museum, Desert Museum, Forest Museum and 4D Experience Hall. The Ocean Museum has purchased the largest 360-degree high-definition holographic projection equipment in China, which can display various environments such as forests, tropical grasslands and polar regions, as well as animals and plants. It also has real-time sensing function and can interact with tourists.
The Starry Sky Museum shows the development history of helicopters in the world and China and is equipped with an automatic trigger explanation system, which can carry out popular science education on aviation knowledge for aviation enthusiasts and teenagers.
The Desert Museum displays real helicopters and models. There are more than 10 various helicopters such as Chinook, Ka-26, Apache, Osprey, K-MAX and MD902.The Desert Museum features vibrant wall paintings that come to life with the help of projection technology. These images depict dramatic scenes of flying sand and passing camel caravans, offering visitors a vivid experience of the desert landscape.
The Forest Museum showcases the intricate structure of helicopter engines and tooling equipment. Its wall paintings, themed around forests, dynamically display the enchanting scenes of waterfalls cascading and birds soaring through the trees, capturing the attention of all who visit.
The 4D Experience Hall presents an experience film crafted by a domestic design team over the course of a year. This film is replete with high-tech elements and allows visitors to virtually fly a helicopter over iconic global landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, and the Forbidden City in Beijing. The film fulfills the dream of soaring through the skies with its exquisite visuals and immersive 4D experience, making you feel the thrill of helicopter takeoffs, circles, and dives.
Operating Hours:
– From July 1st to August 31st, the museums are open daily from 09:00 to 17:00.
– From September 1st to December 31st, the museums are open from 09:00 to 17:00 on Tuesdays to Sundays, and closed all day on Mondays.
– On Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival, the museums are open from 09:00 to 17:00.
Preferential Policies:
– Children under 1.2 meters (inclusive) enter for free.
– Children between 1.2 meters (exclusive) and 1.5 meters (inclusive) receive preferential treatment.
– Elderly individuals aged 65 or above with an ID card or senior citizen card enter for free.Admission Policies:
Active-Duty Military Personnel: Entry is complimentary for those with a military officer card.
