Jiangxi Wugong Mountain is located in the western part of Jiangxi, spanning three cities: Pingxiang, Yichun, and Ji’an. It encompasses scenic areas such as Pingxiang Wugong Mountain, Yichun Mingyue Mountain, Anfu Wugong Mountain, and Anfu Yangshimu, forming a large-scale mountain scenic area that combines cultural and natural landscapes.
Jiangxi Wugong Mountain – Pingxiang Wugong Mountain Scenic Area is situated in the southeast of Pingxiang City, belonging to the northern section of the Luoxiao Mountains on the Hunan-Jiangxi border, and is a richly endowed large-scale mountain scenic area in western Jiangxi. Historically, it was known as one of the three famous mountains in the Jiangnan region, along with Mount Lu and Mount Heng, earning the title ‘Heng at the head, Lu at the tail, Wugong in the middle.’ The main peak of Wugong Mountain, Baihe Peak (Golden Summit), stands at an elevation of 1918.3 meters.
Jiangxi Wugong Mountain – Yichun Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area is located 15 kilometers southwest of the central city of Yichun, covering an area of 389 square kilometers. Mingyue Mountain boasts four major resources: ‘mountain, spring, Zen, and agriculture,’ characterized by ‘strange peaks, dangerous ravines, selenium-rich hot springs, Zen culture, and agricultural culture,’ making it a scenic area that integrates sightseeing, leisure vacationing, health therapy, and religious tourism.
Jiangxi Wugong Mountain – Anfu Wugong Mountain is located within the territory of Taishan Township, Anfu County, Jiangxi Province, with a depth of about 150 kilometers within the scenic area, and it is one of the higher peaks in Jiangxi. Historically, Wugong Mountain was known as one of the three famous mountains in the Jiangnan region, along with Mount Heng and Mount Lu, and was ranked as ‘Heng at the head, Lu at the tail, Wugong in the middle.
Jiangxi Wugong Mountain – Anfu Yangshimu Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Wugong Mountain, Anfu County, Jiangxi Province, within a national scenic area, a national natural heritage site, a national forest park, and a national geological park. The scenic area is dominated by granitic peak forest landforms, with a variety of shapes and magnificent views. It is mainly characterized by ‘strange peaks and rocks, flowing springs and waterfalls, blooming mountain flowers, sea of clouds and illusions, and rime and snow,’ with layers of peaks, lush greenery, hidden beauty within beauty, and strangeness within strangeness.
