Jianjing Spring is located within the Baotu Spring scenic area, to the east of Ma Pa Quan, and is one of the well-known seventy-two famous springs. It is named for its shallow waters that do not exceed a foot in depth. A poem says: ‘In Qi City, the shallow well is not a foot deep, a handful can dispel worldly worries. At dusk, where children draw water, banana leaves are rustling in the rain.’ It is open all year round, accessible twenty-four hours a day.
