Jianmen Pass is located in Daxiagu Town, Lin’an City, Zhejiang Province, and is the main attraction within the Zhejiang West Grand Canyon. The main scenic spots include: the Five Elements Peaks, known as ‘Five Generations under One Roof’, the Army Cave, Jianmen Iron Suspension Bridge, Rock Pine, Bamboo Path, Mandarin Duck Return Stone, Immovable Stone, Ta Water Bridge, and Listening to Waves Pavilion. The towering cliffs on both sides of the pass form a ‘gateway’, with a pair of sword-shaped stones inside, hence the name ‘Jianmen’. On one side of the Jianmen Ridge is the gold mining flat, while the other side consists of a series of cliffs, arranged from high to low. There are viewing platforms and gold mining pavilions on the cliffs. The gold mining pavilion stands majestically in the air, elegant and unrestrained. Below the cliffs lies the Jianmen Pool, with clear and refreshing waters. The area is open from 07:00 to 17:30 from 3/2 to 11/30; and from 08:00 to 16:00 from 12/1 to 3/1.
