Jianyan Rock is a solitary peak rising abruptly from the ground. It is over 500 meters high and shaped like a sword piercing straight into the blue sky. It can be seen by walking down from the Primeval Forest.
On the side of Jianyan Rock facing Fangcao Lake, there is a spring gushing out vertically from the halfway up the mountainside. Like a white silk hanging in the air, it cascades down along the rock, reaching a height of over 130 meters. People call it the Hanging Spring. Legend has it that it was the lovesick tears shed by the goddess Semo when she was searching for the god Dago.
