The former site of Jiaozhou Customs, also known as the Qing Dynasty Jiaozhou Customs, was constructed from August to December in 1913. It is one of the public buildings completed during the German occupation period in Qingdao, signifying the modernization of the city. The building, which once served as a modern office building, now houses the Qingdao Customs Office. The structure is largely preserved with an approximate construction area of 2824 square meters.

The building features a brick and wood structure with a total of four floors, including the attic and basement. The main entrance is located on the southeast side of the vertical facade, with a 26-step stone staircase leading to the first floor. The foundation is built with mushroom stones up to the first floor, with water-brushed stone walls and a roof composed of large folding slopes and four-sided sloping roofs.

The building’s plan view resembles a warship. The opening hours are subject to the actual operating conditions on the day.
