The Jiaozhuanghu Tunnel Warfare Site Memorial Hall in Beijing is 60 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing. The memorial hall was built in the autumn of 1964 and was named ‘Exhibition Room of the History of Militia Struggles in Jiaozhuanghu’. In 1979, it was renamed as ‘Beijing Jiaozhuanghu Tunnel Warfare Site Memorial Hall’. At present, the memorial hall covers an area of nearly 47,700 square meters and is now divided into three visiting areas, namely the exhibition hall visiting area, the tunnel visiting area, and the anti-Japanese war residential area visiting area.

Jiaozhuanghu Village belonged to the leadership of the anti-Japanese base area in eastern Hebei during the war years and was the only way to the Pingxi and Pingbei base areas. In order to cherish the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs, since 1987. The tunnel currently open for tourists in the memorial hall is 830 meters. In order to better display the historical scenes of the war in those years and reproduce the original appearance of the tunnel, the Jiaozhuanghu Tunnel Warfare Site has restored a 30-meter original tunnel and uses modern high-tech means such as sound, light and electricity to truly reflect history.

Opening hours: Closed all day on Monday throughout the year; Open from 09:00 to 16:30 on Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year.
