Jimei Library is located on Jicen Road, Jimei District. It pioneered the library in Xiamen area and is one of the earliest established libraries in Xiamen. It is a civilized unit in Xiamen and an advanced unit for ancient book protection in Fujian Province.
The predecessor of Jimei Library was the library of Jimei School founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng in 1918. The library has a collection of more than 470,000 paper books, 250,000 e-books, and self-built characteristic databases such as the Chen Jiageng Literature Database, Local Literature Database, Ancient Book Literature Database, and Exhibition Database.
