The Jin Yong Academy is located southwest of the Sea God Temple in the ancient town of Yanguan, Haining. It is designed and constructed according to the architectural layout of the Anlan Academy originally built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It is divided into east, middle, and west routes. The east route is the guiding and living space, a place for rest. The middle route is the main space, with three functions of lecturing, displaying, and storing books. The west route is the reception and service space, a wonderful place for sightseeing. The academy comprehensively displays Mr. Jin Yong’s academic achievements and will become an important place to study and promote Jin Yong’s martial arts literature, as well as a sacred place for Mr. Jin Yong to return to his hometown to give lectures and spread academic thoughts.
Opening hours: Open all year round from 08:30 to 17:00.
Preferential policies:
Children: Those under 1.2 meters in height or under 6 years old (including 6 years old) (must be accompanied by parents for sightseeing) are free; children between 1.2 and 1.5 meters in height or minors between 6 years old (excluding 6 years old) and 18 years old (including 18 years old) with valid certificates (must be accompanied by parents for sightseeing) can get discounted tickets.
Elderly: Elderly people aged 70 years old (including) and above can get in free with the Senior Citizen Privilege Card or ID card; elderly people aged 60 years old (including) and above but under 70 years old can get discounted tickets with the Senior Citizen Privilege Card or ID card.
Students: Full-time college, middle school, and primary school students with Student ID cards can get discounted tickets.
Disabled people: Disabled people and disabled military personnel with disability certificates, disabled military personnel certificates, and revolutionary disabled military personnel certificates can get in free.
Active-duty military personnel: With Officer ID cards or Soldier ID cards can get in free.
Teaching staff: Teachers with over thirty years of teaching experience with Teacher ID cards can get discounted tickets.
Retired cadres: With the Retirement Certificate for Veteran Cadres issued by state organs can get in free.
Journalists: With the Press Card issued by the state news regulatory department can get in free.
Blood donors: With the Zhejiang Province Honorary Certificate for Voluntary Blood Donation can get in free.
Tour guides: With the National Tour Guide Certificate, Travel Agency Manager Qualification Certificate, and Tour Leader Certificate issued by the National Tourism Administration can get in free.
Drivers accompanying tour groups: With Class A/A1 driver’s licenses (one person per vehicle accompanying the tour group) can get in free.
