Jinan Wild Animal World is located in Bucun Sub-district Office in the southwestern part of Zhangqiu District, Jinan. The park covers an area of about 2200 mu. The forest coverage area in the park is as high as 92%. The park is divided into two major parts, north and south. The northern part is the walking tour area, and the southern part is the driving tour area. The walking tour area is divided into zones by ‘thematic’ display, consisting of 12 areas such as Bird Song Flower Valley, Elephant Territory, Tiger Roaring Valley, Ecological Performance Field, Snow Kingdom Sacred Realm, Forest Canopy Kingdom, Panda House, Leopard Path, Meerkat Secret Room Adventure, Azure Dragon Impression, Hippo and Rhino, and WaiWai Cat Parent-Child Paradise.
The driving tour area is divided into zones by ‘geographical habitat’ display, consisting of five areas such as African grassland, alpine mountainous area, Australian mountain forest, wild zone, and Asian grassland. In a combination of free-range and captive breeding methods, more than 300 kinds of rare and protected animals are raised, nearly 4000 in total.
