Jin’e Zen Temple

Jin’e Zen Temple, a sanctuary with a history spanning over 1200 years, is nestled at the foot of Jin’e Mountain in the southern suburbs of Ningbo, a 35-kilometer journey from the city center. This revered site, with its ancient roots dating back to the Dali years of the Tang Dynasty, continues to be a beacon of spiritual tranquility.

Jin’e Mountain, celebrated for its “thousands of peaks like tablets, ten thousand valleys paying homage,” stands proudly in the southern region of Yinzhou. It soars to an elevation of 633 meters, forming an extension of the majestic Tiantai Mountains. The mountain’s natural grandeur complements the temple’s serene atmosphere.

The temple itself, surrounded by babbling brooks and towering ancient trees, covers an area of more than 50 acres. It boasts a grand and solemn Buddhist complex, offering a rare pure land for Buddhist practice and reflection.

Visitors are welcome to experience the temple’s serenity from 07:20 to 17:30 every day, throughout the year from January 1st to December 31st.
