Jinghu National Urban Wetland Park encompasses grasslands, wetlands, lakes and hills from the north of the city to the Hangzhou Bay area. The water surface and wetlands cover several square kilometers. The ten-mile lotus blossoms are in full bloom, presenting a water town scene. The park has mountains, waters and lawns, and is very suitable for spending half a day on an outing with family and friends.
The fully-equipped ‘completed scenic area’ is mainly Meishan Wetland. On sunny days, many people fly kites on the large lawn of the park. You can also climb Meishan Mountain. There is a Benjue Temple on the mountainside with a nice environment. On the way down the mountain, there is a stone-shaded path. In summer, walking on it barefoot is cool and numb. The ten-mile lotus pond not too far to the west of Meishan Mountain is a good place to enjoy lotus flowers in summer. The lotus pond here has a natural beauty without too much artificial decoration, and there are always not too many tourists, so you can enjoy the scenery quietly. There are farmhouses near the lotus pond where you can have a meal. There are also people who like fishing come here to fish. The special landscape of the park is the Bishantang on the Angsang Lake to the north of Meishan Wetland. At first glance, the long stone pond road crosses the lake. Because the lake is wide, it is more photogenic than the fiber track in Keqiao. This stone pond was built in the Ming Dynasty. When the wind blows, there are waves on one side of the Bishantang lake and no waves on the other side. Boats can enter the windless side of the lake from the Bishantang bridge to take shelter. If you want to walk around Angsang Lake, you can take Bus No. 188 and get off at ‘Lintou’ station, and then go north along the river to the Bishantang Farmhouse. You can also have a meal and fish here. Behind the farmhouse is the wide Angsang Lake.Opening hours: Open all year round from 6:30 to 21:00.
