Jinglong Ocean Museum is located in Shaba Bay Town, Yangxi, at the beach resort area, and is the only large-scale ocean museum in Yangjiang area. It is also a multifunctional exhibition hall that integrates entertainment, viewing, and science education, covering an area of nearly 2,000 square meters with a total investment of nearly five million yuan. The museum is continuously introducing new marine animals to make the display content more innovative and enriched, while promoting the development of marine knowledge popularization activities, striving to become a marine science education base for teenagers.
Jinglong Ocean Museum is initially divided into two areas to showcase the underwater animal world and to provide venues for children and teenagers to participate in marine-related activities. The museum’s viewing projects include: a large coral underwater world where colorful fish swim happily in the corals as if they are within reach; a fantasy tunnel that makes one feel like dancing with dolphins in the deep sea, viewing the fierce deep-sea shark hunting scenes, and arriving at the jellyfish area where groups of jellyfish are illuminated by soft-colored lights, resembling gentle green ribbons floating ethereally; a 200-pound centenarian sea turtle swimming freely in the deep-sea reefs with its descendants.
After passing through the mysterious and gloomy underwater world, we return to the joyful and dynamic motion area: the first stop is the fish feeding pool, where brightly colored fish of various sizes open their mouths wide, waiting for you with baby bottles in hand, making a chirping sound as they feed, bringing joy; the adult fish-catching pool allows you and your travel companions to recapture the long-lost innocence of childhood; the children’s fish-catching pool allows pure childlike fun to be fully expressed. Visitors can also enjoy the hundred-turtle pool, turtle-feeding pool, beach cavalry, golden carp, and the ocean culture corridor.
