Jinshan Ski Resort is located at the junction of Qingdao and Yantai, nestled at the foot of the picturesque Yuhuang Mountain, with the Jinshan Pagoda visible in the distance. The ski resort covers a total area of 29 hectares and can accommodate up to 1500 skiers at a time.
It has introduced internationally advanced snow-making and grooming equipment, as well as 1500 sets of high-quality snowboards from internationally renowned brands. Skiing is a competitive sport where athletes attach snowboards to the soles of their boots and compete in speed, jumping, and descending on snow. Snowboards are made from a mix of wood, metal, and plastic materials. Alpine skiing consists of downhill, slalom, and giant slalom (mogul skiing). The Alpine skiing combined event comprises all three of these disciplines. Skiing involves standing on snowboards while holding ski poles and gliding across the snow surface. ‘Upright’, ‘board’, ‘snow’, and ‘glide’ are key elements of skiing.
