Jinshitan Resort is located in the northeastern part of Dalian city, surrounded by the sea on three sides and boasting beautiful scenery. The best season for tourism is from May to October each year. The resort is home to numerous attractions, including a day of fun at the Discovery Kingdom Theme Park, admiring the peculiar rocks at the Binhai National Geopark, or taking a stroll on the Golden Coast beach with children. From Dalian Railway Station North Square, it takes about fifty minutes to reach this backyard garden of Dalian by taking the Light Rail Line 3. Upon exiting the Light Rail station, you can purchase tickets at the nearby Visitor Service Center, where individual tickets for each attraction or discounted combination tickets are available. Next to the Light Rail station, you can take the sightseeing loop bus to reach various attractions, with unlimited rides allowed on presentation of the ticket. The Discovery Kingdom Theme Park is not far from the Light Rail station and can be directly reached from the Visitor Service Center by taking a dedicated shuttle. The park is a famous theme park in the Northeast region, featuring many large-scale amusement facilities, including the thrilling ‘Crazy Cobra Roller Coaster’ and ‘Heaven and Earth Spinning Roller Coaster’, which are worth experiencing. A visit to the Discovery Kingdom usually requires a full day. South of the Discovery Kingdom is the Golden Coast, a 5-kilometer-long beach with a wide view, and the clarity of the water and the quality of the sand are superior to those of the city’s beaches. From the Visitor Service Center, you can take a sightseeing train to the east coast of the Golden Coast. Binhai National Geopark, located at the southeast end of the Jinshitan Resort, is a photography hotspot. Here, you can appreciate various rock formations from hundreds of millions of years ago and numerous peculiar giant rocks formed by ancient fossils, standing by the sea, some resembling a stone monkey watching the sea, and others like a roc spreading its wings. The sightseeing loop bus can take you to the park. There are many hiking sections in the park, so be mindful of steps and steep slopes. These are some of the must-visit attractions in the resort. Additionally, Jinshitan Resort also features the Jinshi World Celebrity Wax Museum, Jinshitan Geopark Museum, Museum of Life Mysteries, and Film Art Center (Xu Beihong Art Museum), all of which are concentrated near the Light Rail station. If you have purchased a combination ticket and have enough time, you can visit these places. There are many hotels and various restaurants around the Light Rail station and in the urban area one kilometer east of the station. The cost of living here is not much different from the city center, and there are local shuttle buses for convenient travel. Jinshitan Resort also has various leisure facilities such as Tang Style Hot Springs, Flight Experience Center, Jinwan Golf Course, Jinshi Golf Course, and Jinshi Hunting Club.
