Jinyin Island is one of the filming locations for the CCTV special ‘Treasure Hunt on Nan’ao Island’ and is believed to be the legendary treasure trove of Wu Ping. The island, covering an area of approximately 1,000 square meters, is surrounded by the sea on three sides, with sparkling blue waves. It is composed of naturally stacked granite boulders, featuring winding paths and interspersed caves, offering a cool and refreshing environment.
In front of the umbrella-shaped pavilion, there sits a beautiful stone statue of a lady, modeled after Wu Ping’s sister. She holds a gold ingot in one hand and the hilt of a sword in the other, appearing to guard the treasure. It is said that touching the ingot in her hand can bring good fortune in terms of wealth.
The island is open to visitors all year round from 08:00 to 17:30, 8:00-17:30.
