Jinhua Tangxi, nestled at the foot of Jiufeng Mountain, has historically been a favored retreat for immortals. Ge Hong’s alchemy stove still stands, not far from where Feng Qushe built his thatched cottage, and the poetic works of Yuanming have been passed down, with the Zen sounds of Bodhidharma continuing. Song Yue also wrote: “Nine-petaled pavilion embraces the blue lotus, with a spring gushing from a distance.” It seems to hint at the existence of hot springs in Tangxi. It was only until hot springs were discovered at the foot of the Thumb Peak that the mystery was unveiled, and people say: the Jiufeng Hot Spring, hidden for thousands of years, emerges to move the earth.
The Jiufeng Hot Spring Experience Hall is located in the picturesque Jiufeng Mountain scenic and tourist area, backed by a range of peaks, hidden in lush greenery, with enchanting scenery and the gentle sound of flowing water. The hall covers an area of 12 acres and is divided into four areas: a comprehensive hot spring area, 21 distinctive indoor and outdoor pools, and 6 VIP rooms with private hot spring pools, as well as a rest hall and a restaurant. The area is set to be developed into a Jiufeng Ecological Hot Spring Health City, centered around hot springs, health, and leisure, while also considering the development of rehabilitation, sports, and entertainment.
Jiufeng Hot Spring is the first self-gushing hot spring well in Zhejiang Province, containing trace elements such as strontium, selenium, and lithium, and is a typical negative ion hot spring. It produces about 1,800 tons of water per day with a water temperature of 42-45 degrees. The opening hours are all year round from 13:30 to 21:30.
