Jiu Feng National Forest Park is nestled in the Western Hills, 30 kilometers west of Beijing city, known for its beautiful natural environment and steep mountain terrain, with peaks standing tall throughout the year, making it an ideal spot for city dwellers to exercise and relax on weekends.
Jiu Feng’s main peak stands at an elevation of 465 meters. From a distance, the two peaks on the mountain ridge appear to face each other, resembling a diving eagle, which is why the park is named as such. The park boasts a high forest coverage rate of 96.2%, with a multitude of trees. Every year, when spring arrives and flowers bloom, the hillsides are adorned with bright peach blossoms, attracting numerous visitors for spring outings and flower appreciation. Climbing to the summit of Jiu Feng, one can overlook the entirety of Beijing city to the east, with a gentle breeze and an expansive view. The park is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
