Jiufeng Gorge Rafting

Jiufeng Gorge Rafting is located in the southern Niuba Creek basin of Laitan, a national AAA-level scenic area and one of China’s first ten historical and cultural towns. It is 30 kilometers away from Hechuan city and 85 kilometers from the main urban area of Chongqing, which can be reached by car in just one hour. This is a rare high-level ecological tourism project within one hour’s drive from the main city, combining thrilling adventure sports experience with beautiful natural scenery.


The total length of the rafting course is 6.6 kilometers, with an overall drop of 108 meters, including three drops of about 10 meters and a major drop of 13 meters. The river meanders through five villages before joining the Qujiang River; the riverbed is dotted with peculiar rocks and stones, naturally distributed; the mountains on both sides are steep and combine with the beautiful natural ecological features.


Screaming past the waterfall with a 13-meter drop; playing in the rapids amidst the rugged riverbed; navigating through caves created by huge rocks and dangerous rapids; under the scorching sun, feel the coolness of the clear mountain springs while experiencing the thrill of riding the waves.


Opening times are all year round from 13:00 to 15:00, with rafting times: Monday to Friday: 14:00-15:30, Saturday and Sunday: 13:30-15:30.


Additional preferential policy details: 1. Children between 1 meter (inclusive) and 1.4 meters (exclusive) enjoy a child price of 98 yuan per person. (Mild section rafting) 2.
