The Grand King Cave Scenic Area is located in Gui Chi District, Chizhou City, Anhui Province. It was listed as one of the first provincial-level scenic spots by Anhui Province in 1987 and is acclaimed as the ‘First Cave of Eastern China’. It is among the first batch of 4A-level scenic spots, a beautiful leisure and vacation tourism scenic area in China, a popular recommended scenic area in the six provinces and one city of Eastern China, and the initiator of the National Cave Alliance. It is now affiliated with Anhui Jiuhua Mountain Cultural Tourism Group Co., Ltd.
The scenic area covers a total area of 10 square kilometers, with a planned area of 7 square kilometers. It consists of five main parts: cable car rural scenery, Tianqiao wonder, Linyu Gorge, Grand King Cave Palace, and Grand King Lake. The ticket price includes cave sightseeing, with secondary consumption being the cable car. Other secondary small projects include cave drifting and spiritual fountains.
Since the Jin and Tang dynasties, literary giants such as Teng Zijing and Mei Yaochen have visited and praised the Grand King Cave with works like ‘Inscription on Chuanshan Cave’ and ‘Harmony with Teng Gong’s Tour of Chuanshan Cave’. Modern poets and writers like Ai Qing, He Jingzhi, Zang Kejia, and Zhao Puchu have also left behind a series of masterpieces.

The Qiupu Scenic Grand King Cave Parking Lot, located more than 50 kilometers southwest of Chizhou City in Anhui Province, offers parking facilities with a capacity of 50 spaces at a reference price of ¥10 per time. Admission to the cave is free for people over 65 years old, children under 6 years old (including) or under 1.2 meters in height (including), people with severe disabilities (grades 1-4), active-duty military personnel, disabled veterans, and retired military personnel. We recommend taking the cable car to travel from the gorge to the Grand King Cave Palace, which is known as the ‘First Cave of Eastern China’. The entire journey takes about 2 hours. The cave is renowned for its total length of 3500 meters, with a main line of 2200 meters, and is divided into five parts: ‘Phoenix Hall’, ‘Dragon Palace’, ‘Fairy Garden’, ‘Jade Pool’, and ‘Galaxy’. Characterized by its complexity with caves within caves, rivers within caves, and a landscape that is both grand and intricate, the cave is vast in scale and unparalleled in natural beauty. It is known for its ‘length, size, and water’, and with its mysterious and grand karst cave wonders, it is hailed as the ‘King of Caves’.
Additionally, ‘Tianqiao’ is a natural stone bridge that stands at a height of 52 meters, a width of 64 meters, and a depth of 73 meters. This bridge is not only magnificent and grand but also rare in the country, as confirmed by experts.
